Finding Peace in the Storm: Faith and Mental Health, in Jesus Christ

Betty, gave her life to Christ at the age of 6, and had never deviated from Him all through her adult life. Hers was a perfect home, and having a sweet fellowship with Jesus every morning was her daily highlight. Unfortunately, Betty never had it perfect in her romantic relationships. From her teenage years into adulthood, she struggled with rejections, broken promises and multiple broken relationships. Unknown to Betty, this began to weigh on her heart beyond words. It affected her emotionally, but still she Loved Jesus. Her mental health was in a fast decline especially after the last breakup  which was a cancelled engagement. This left her severely depressed for over 2 weeks and for the first time in her life, she began to consider suicidal thoughts 

Navigating the complexities of life often leaves us feeling emotionally and spiritually depleted. We struggle with anxiety, depression, fear, and a sense of being lost, even amidst outward success. This “soulish” realm – the emotional and mental landscape of our being – can be a battleground when the oppositions of life become fierce and lifes challenges becone unrelenting, despite every effort we make to profer a solution.

But what if I told you that a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ isn’t just a spiritual exercise, but a powerful pathway to restoring and nurturing this vital part of ourselves? David acknowledges the reality of our internal struggles and Gods knowledge of them; in Psalm 139:1-3 David also speaks of our hidden anxieties: “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” This verse isn’t just a plea for God to judge us; it’s an acknowledgment of our need for his insight and guidance in the messy terrain of our emotions. We can’t always understand our own hearts, but God can, and he offers healing.

God is close to a broken heart  and Psalm 34:18 reveals the Character of God inthis light. Ee have thought wrongly thatvwjen we are down andnbroken, God does not wnat to have snything to do with us; but may i ask you- ‘ if you had a friend or a niece or a child, when do you want to be closest to them? You go it, in times of pain, you want to be close to those you love! that is exactly how God wants to be close to you, ehen you are in pain. God wants to help you.

One of the most profound ways Jesus calls us to nuture our soulish health is through his gift of Peace to us. Jesus speaking in John 14:27 promises us, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” The Peace of Christ Jesus isn’t a fleeting feeling; rather it’s a deep-seated completion in wholeness, that stems from a relationship with the Prince of Peace.

Think about a time you experienced overwhelming stress. How did you cope? Did it leave you feeling depleted? Did the feeling leave on it’s own? Contrast that with the peace that comes from surrendering your anxieties to Jesus, trusting in His sovereignty and provision in your life.

Faith isn’t a magic bullet. It’s a journey, a process of actively engaging with God and allowing Him to work in your life. The story of David in the Psalms powerfully illustrates this. David, a man chosen by God, faced immense struggles – betrayal, loss, and even deep despair. Yet, his prayers, his lamentations, and his ultimate trust in God’s mercy are a testament to the healing power of faith even in the midst of intense emotional turmoil. He didn’t suppress his emotions; he brought them before God. He didnt ignore his pain, rather he brough them to God. H didnt make landmark decisions based on his brokeness, rather He learnt to trust in the Lord day by day.

This brings us to a crucial question: How are you processing your emotions? Are you suppressing them, burying them, ignoring them or bringing them before The Lord in prayer and honest reflection? Journaling, talking to a trusted friend or mentor, and seeking professional counseling or Coaching can all be valuable tools in this process. Remember, God also uses others to minister to our needs. Hebrews 3:13 says “Exhort one another daily while it is still called Today…” The word Exhort in this context means to encourage, entreat, comfort and console someone. So, we are to exhort one snother daily.

Finally, faith in Christ leads to hope. Romans 15:13 reminds us, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Hope is an anchor for our souls, a belief that even in the darkest of times, God is working, His plan is unfolding, and His love endures. What specific areas of your life are causing you the most anxiety or despair? How can you cultivate a renewed sense of hope, rooted in God’s promises, in those areas?
Our soulish health is a precious gift from God. He desires our wholeness – emotionally, mentally, and spiritually 3John1:2.

Therefore by actively engaging in faith, surrendering our anxieties to Jesus Christ, seeking a godly community and support, we can find peace in the storm and experience the profound healing power of Jesus Christ regarding her mental health. Betty found help eventually, her family continued to pray with her and rallied round her. Soon, Betty began to find her way back to her first love, she began to heal again and her soul began to find rest in Christ’s Word again . Finding Grace Amidst Hardship: Nurturing Resilience Through Faith

Life often presents us with challenges that can feel overwhelming, leaving us questioning our strength and purpose. However, amid these hardships, finding grace can be a transformative journey that deepens our faith and strengthens our character. Today, we’ll explore five key points on how to find grace amidst hardship, reminding us of God’s unwavering presence.

1. Recognize God’s Presence in Trials

The first step towards finding Grace is acknowledging that you are never alone in your struggles. God walks with you, even in your darkest moments. The Psalmist reminds us of this profound truth in Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” When hardships arise, take a moment to breathe and be aware of His abiding presence with you. Consciously inviting God’s presence into your struggle, helps you relax, and makes you more aware of His miraculous power in your life and circumstance. Keeping a prayer journal can help you reflect on His nearness and support during trying times.

2. Embrace the Growth Mindset

Hardships often serve as catalysts for personal and spiritual growth. As the Apostle Paul explains in Romans 5:3-4: “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Each time you are faced with a challenge, you are presented with an opportunity to grow closer to the Lord, because He is right there, willing and ready to pour His oil afrsh on you and to reveal His strength in you. So, by seeking more of God and more of His word, you are adopting the Kingdom growth mindset, that would help you view difficulties as opportunities for learning and spiritual development. Consider setting specific goals during tough times to help you focus on the Lord and to help you Grow in your knowledge of His perfect will for you.

3. Practice Gratitude

In the midst of suffering, cultivating a spirit of gratitude can be a powerful tool for finding grace. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 instructs us to “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Keeping a gratitude journal can help shift your perspective from what is lacking to what you have being given by the Lord(that home, child, friend, spouse, car, etc). Seeing the subtle blessings amidst your trials, even in the most stressful times releases an Overcomer mindset in you, because you’ll become more aware of the miracle worker, than of the challenges arrayed against you. So, reflecting on God’s faithfulness throughout your life can remind you of His goodness, providing comfort and strength.

4. Embrace Vulnerability

Embracing vulnerability is not always easy, but it is in our moments of weakness that we can encounter the divine grace of God. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we invite God’s strength into our lives. The Apostle Paul beautifully illustrates this in 2 Corinthians 12:9, where he writes, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Being open about our challenges – be it in prayer, journaling, or with a trusted friend – invites God into our situation. This act of sharing our burdens can lead to profound healing and a sense of community. Vulnerability is a strength, which brings you face to face with God’s Grace even amidst trying times.

5. Seek Community and Support

No one is meant to walk the journey of life alone. Surrounding ourselves with a community of like-minded individuals can be transformative, especially during challenging times. As stated in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”

Seek out a faith-based fellowship, whether in a local church, Christian community group, or even on Christian online spaces, that facilitate faith-based support. Sharing experiences with others who understand you struggles can provide encouragement, wisdom, and accountability. Remember, you are a part of the larger body of Christ, and God often works through others to convey His Grace and Love to us.

Conclusion

As you navigate through life’s hardships, it’s essential to remember that God’s Grace is always present. By identifying the lessons in your struggles, embracing vulnerability, and seeking supportive communities, you can find solace amid the storms. God’s Grace, as described in Ephesians 2:8, reminds us that we are saved through faith, not by our own works, rather, it is God’s free Gift to us, waiting for us to Believe and Receive it. How Faith Changes Things and Births Freedom

Freedom is one of the uttermost needs of humankind. Yet freedom remains a mirage for many because the basics of freedom aren’t understood.

I remember the story of Betty, a vibrant lady who got a job with a multinational company, thinking she would have the freedom to express her creativity as a graphic designer and content writer. A year ago, her parents had offered her a position in the family business but she had declined, thinking to herself ‘Dad and Mom can’t understand my flare for the arts and would want to restrict my freedom to create”. This was her truth, and this had driven her away from home consistently. Now, 5 years later, working at her supposed dream job, she felt more miserable than ever.

Betty hadn’t gotten a chance to pitch any ideas to the content manager, rather she was always placed as a third wheel on few projects, saddled with the responsibility to fine tune created designs and to ensure their printing in a very specific format. Every attempt she made to scale a notch higher on the professional creative ladder always met a brick wall, and on a particular incident, she was issued a query for insubordination and authority overreach. This was because she had insisted on a design for a campaign cover, she had tested in the market and found it to be widely accepted, unfortunately this was misinterpreted wrongly by her immediate boss and escalated for disciplinary measures.

Eventually giving up on her attempt for creative freedom, Betty called her mom one sunny afternoon as she sat in the nearby metropolitan café. The gust of wind from the nearby sea was lost on her as she trailed off in thought, trying to gather her words together. “I’m quitting my job mom”, she managed to say. The next response from her mom was unprecedented as she heard her say “Oh Betty i know, but I want you to Know your job is still waiting for you with your Dad and I, and we have a whole department of Designs and Art we would like you to head.” Breathless, Betty had to ask “Wow! How did you know I was quitting and when did you and Dad come up with the Design department?” Again Betty was stunned with her mother’s response “i just kept having the feeling that you were struggling Betty. Besides, the department had always been. We wanted you to head it five years ago, remember? But when you shared your dream with us of wanting to work with the multinational, we thought it was an opportunity we couldn’t hold you back from” Betty was stone speechless. Her parents had been looking out for her freedom all along and here she was entangled in what she thought was her dream, but it was constricting freedom!

In God’s Kingdom system, your freedom begins where God’s will for you is known, and where God’s will for you is known is called the highest place of Truth. Jesus speaking therefore in John 8:32 says “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Truth makes free and keeps free, but tainted truth doesn’t have the same effect.

In a world of self framed Truth, many struggle with inner peace, because the truth you create which is called (Self Truth) Cannot set you Free. But the Highest Truth of the Great one who created you will align with your heart and set you free from the depths of your soul. Hence, true freedom is found in the Truth of Christ Jesus. Jesus speaking in Joh 8:36 KJV says “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” It is a default setting, that receiving and believing in Christ Jesus brings peace into your heart; and Receiving His Truth concerning your life brings you into True Freedom. This is not a freedom you are struggling to keep and maintain, rather it is a FREEDOM YOU WILL HAVE AND Be Rooted in.

So, Faith in Jesus And His Truth, connects you to the Life of True Freedom you seek, because Jesus would teach you through His word, how you can be truly free in every area of your life. In John 14:6 Jesus says “I Am The Way, The Truth, and The Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.” If Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, what else do you seek? The choice to believe Him and to believe His Words is called Faith, and aligning with Him this way, births True freedom because your understanding will be lighted by truth and you will be able to make right decisions that would bolster your freedom in life.

Romans 10:9-10, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. “Heavenly Father, I come to you in need of salvation. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for my sins, and that He rose again. I repent of my sin and I receive your forgiveness. I declare that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and guide me in Your ways. I step into your liberty today and I receive your light to guide me all through life. Thank you for the gift of salvation and eternal life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

In a world filled with chaotic uncertainties, love in its purest form serves as a powerful anchor to our souls, as it provides stability, hope, and direction. I will be exploring how true love, which is rooted in Christ Jesus can help you navigate life’s challenges and find lasting fulfillment.

What is True Love

Love all through scriptures, offers a powerful strength in a struggling world, because God is Love, therefore Love is a Representation of Gods Nature. By embracing the path of Love, and integrating love virtues into your daily lives, you will find stability, hope, and purpose, not only for yourselves but also for those around you. Christian coaches can play a vital role in this process, guiding you toward a more loving and fulfilling life each day, as you take the bold step to rise above the sinking sand of life, rather than drown with it.

True love, as defined in the Bible, goes beyond fleeting emotions or self-centered desires. It is a selfless, unconditional, and enduring commitment to the well-being of others 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 offers a profound description: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails”. This “other” focused love stands in contrast to the world’s definition, of Love, which focuses more on selfishness, self centeredness and being self absorbed.

Coach Yourself: Reflect on the characteristics of true love described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Identify one or two aspects you find most challenging to embody in your daily life. What specific steps can you take to cultivate these qualities?

Love Provides Stability

When external circumstances threaten to overwhelm you, love provides an inner sense of stability. Knowing that we are loved and valued, regardless of our achievements or failures, gives us the courage to face adversity. Moreover, extending love to others redirects our focus from our own problems, offering a sense of purpose and connection that transcends our difficulties.

Scriptural Insight: Colossians 3:17 reminds us, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him”.

Coach Yourself: Consider times when you felt most grounded and secure. What role did love—both received and given—play in those moments? How can you intentionally cultivate loving relationships to create a more stable foundation for your life?

Love Inspires Hope

In the face of despair, love generates hope. When we believe in the power of Christ’s redemptive blood to purge and heal from all hurts, both in our lives and others, we are more likely to persevere through challenges and work towards a brighter future. Christian coaches can play a vital role in helping you discover hope, as we help you see the silver lining on the horizon, and coach you out of being “stuck” in life’s hurt and pains.

Scriptural Insight: As stated in Colossians 1:27, “Christ is in you, the hope of glory”. Meditate on this and examine what this means to your identity.

Coaching Yourself: Identify an area in your life where you currently feel discouraged or hopeless. What would it look like to approach that situation with God’s Love—both towards yourself and others involved? What possibilities might open up if you choose to operate in Love?

Love Guides Our Actions

Love provides a moral compass, guiding our decisions and actions. When we prioritize the well-being of others, we are more likely to act with integrity, compassion, and justice. This not only benefits those around us but also brings a sense of alignment and purpose to our own lives.

Scriptural Insight: Hebrews 10:24 encourages us to “consider one another in order to stir up love and good works”. What does this mean to you and in your life presently.

Living Free from a World of Pressures

Living could be Challenging. From the daily stressors of work and relationships, to the constant bombardment of media and societal pressures, it’s easy to feel weighed down and trapped. But as Christians, we have a freedom unlike any other – Our freedom is in Christ. In John 8:36, Jesus says, “if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” But what does it truly mean to live free in Christ, from the toils, sins, pain and struggles of this world? Let’s dive in, to explore how we can experience this freedom in our daily lives.

Surrender to Jesus- Jesus is The Light of Life. In Him we encounter The True Light which lights every human and turns things around in the world. In His Light we see The Great Light, that is the Great Peace, Joy, Rest and Truth that can heal our hurts and ease our pains. In Matthew 11:28. Jesus says “Come unto me All you that have laboured and are heavy laden and I will give you Rest” Life without Christ is usually a life of Pain and Struggles, but in Him, you’ll encounter Life at its Best! The power to not Sin can only be found in Him because she is the Author and finisher of your Faith and the deliver of your life from the bondage of sin and death! Romans 5 &6.
Let go of past sins and shame–
The first step to living free in Christ is to let go of our past sins and shame. It’s easy to hold onto guilt and shame from our past mistakes, but the truth is, Jesus has already paid the price for our sins on the cross. As it says in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just and will Forgive us our sins and will purify us from all unrighteousness.” Don’t let your past hold you back from experiencing the freedom and newness of life, that Christ offers. Let go and accept His forgiveness.
Trust in God’s plan for your life-
We often try to take control of our lives and make our own plans, but the reality is, God’s plan for us is far greater than anything we could imagine. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” When we let go of our need for control and trust in God’s plan, we can experience a freedom from the stress and worry of trying to figure everything out on our own.
Find Joy in the midst of pain-
Pain, trails the path of worldly existence. But as Christians, we have the assurance that God is always with us, even in the midst of our trials. In James 1:2-3, it says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” We can find joy in the midst of pain when we make a conscious choice to Rejoice in the Lord, as we stand our ground in Faith. The posture of freedom, is the posture of Praiseful Faith, because it expresses our Trust in the Lord as we release all our cares and pains unto Him.
Surround yourself with a Community of Believers–
We were not meant to do life alone. We need fellow believers to walk with us on our journey and provide support and encouragement. In Proverbs 27:17, it says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” When we surround ourselves with a community of believers, we can experience the freedom of true fellowship, spiritual support and Growth, by those who share our faith.
Focus on eternal things, not temporary.
It’s easy to get caught up in the Ephemerals of life- our jobs, our possessions, our relationships. As important as these are in today’s world, we need much more than that to experience true Freedom. But as Christians, our focus should be on eternal things. Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” When we shift our focus to what truly matters – our relationship with God and our eternal home in heaven – we can experience a freedom from the pressures and distractions of this world. Living in the Spirit unlocks the door to a world of limitless glories, because in Him liberty is Truly found; thereby enhancing your earthly relationships and responsibilities. Until we experience true freedom in Christ, we can’t experience the Liberty to truly live.

In conclusion, living free in Christ is not about living wild without boundaries. Rather, It’s about surrendering our past, present, and future to God and trusting in His plan for our lives. Living beyond the limits of this life but also within the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It’s about finding joy in the midst of trials and surrounding ourselves with a community of believers. And most importantly, it’s about keeping our focus on eternal things, rather than the temporary. So let’s embrace the freedom that Christ offers and live boldly in His Love and Grace.

What Is No More Babylon?

No More Babylon is about unveiling the failures of the world system around us and unveiling the powers behind this world system. It also shows you ways to navigate the waters of transformation in stepping out of the world system. The Whole Idea behind No More Babylon is to bring you into the fullness of what God has in store for you, and the fullness of what you can access through His Son Jesus Christ. The wisdom shared in No More Babylon has worked for many persons who I’ve had the privilege to share it with, and they have returned with testimonies of breakthrough progress in their lives as they see lots of improvement in their lives; and this is because the wisdom of god has no limits.

So, when engaging with God’s wisdom, we are sure to experience the testimonies, freedom, and liberty we seek, because God is all about our victories and stepping into the fullness of His Plan and purpose for our lives.

WHY? ‘NO MORE BABYLON’

No More Babylon is what my life is all about. This is Not theoretical for me, it’s not a theoretical idea i’m trying to put forth. it’s Not an imaginative or intellectual postulation, this is real. Just as I shared in the book about my background and what led to me having this revelation which has led to my freedom and the freedom of many others who have embraced the wisdom of God and the ideas shared in the book ‘No More Babylon.’

i broke free from the life of struggle, which was of a cyclical nature. A naturally passionate person, I gave my best into all that I did, but at every turn it yielded nothing, regardless of how much effort I put into each venture. i know many of us have been there, we’ve done that and can relate with the stack realities of life around you.

So regardless of each effort made, I found this life to be the world systems to be dark and gloomy, without the slightest clue of a viable solution in sight, until i realized in the place of Prayer that working the world system, is simply working in a dead end. but when you step out of it, you would be stepping into what God has in store for you, into the things, God has purposed for you, because you’re in a system that actually works, unlike the world the system which doesn’t work whichever way you turn it.

Think of it this way:
0 × Anything = 0
0 × 50= 0
0 × 1,000,000= 0

So, trying to multiply substance to Nothingness will always birth futility and this applies to multiplying your effort and strength to a system that is degenerative. A Farmer trying to plant in a barren land without improving the soil or doing something to change that soil would fail, because there’s nothing in the soil to grow the seed. Yet, I realized, many of us are yet to come to the realization of this truth that the world system in itself is empty.

We’ve been taught to trust it, give it all that it takes, labour hard in it, invest all that you have into, but the truth about it, is that, until we change systems we are going to remain fruitless at every changing season.

Also something I’ve come to learn about the world system is that, regardless of how much you pour into it for a season it might seem to bear good fruits for a while, but suddenly there is something about it, which causes negative occurrences such as hurricanes, Tornadoes, fires, pestilences, which destroys it all, along with every effort made.

We ought to be able to leave a legacy for our children, to say look this is what God did in my life and i’m leaving this in your care to build something better on it. Unfortunately, what we see in the world today is next to nothing of legacies being left because there is a pattern of destruction that keeps coming over and over which makes 0 × 5 = 0 and 0 × 1million = 0.

Thus, the Lord is saying ,”It is enough! ‘No More Babylon’ is therefore written to help you discover the wisdom path which leads to increase. Though we are in this world we can operate a system that is above it, which is superior to it, and which guarantees victories every single time. I believe The Lord is saying “No More of You Planting and reaping Nothing, No More of You investing and having No Returns, because i have a sure system that NEVER Fails. it never undulates, and it never ends, rather i’m giving you my guarantee, that if you will trust me, then you will step into the reality of great Certainty, Peace and Abundance.

So ‘No More Babylon’ is a Book for Everyone; Christians and non Christians alike. It is for anyone who is seeking solutions to their life of frustrations, pain, struggles, instability, and posterity.

Clarity For your Relationship

Whether you are just starting your journey or already in it, I believe that God’s word has enduring truths that can guide you, into building and strengthening your relationship. As a Christian life coach, I want to share some biblical principles that can help you enhance your dating and courtship experience.

A Relationship is the life long process of connecting and associating with someone or a group of people, in an agreed union, towards a common goal. Many times, these agreed unions, are non verbal, yet amidst the emotional agreement comes a strong force that binds us together.

Therefore, it is necessary to learn how to gain Clarity regarding your choices in relationships. Carefully fixing our focus on romantic relationships, we want to know how to gain clarity regarding our choices, unto the fullness of God’s Plan for us. So, join me with a healthy snack and a drink as we explore pathways to gaining Clarity in Your Romantic Relationship:

First, Honor God and let Him guide you in your relationship. Knowing if that guy or lady is the one for you or not is dependent on the quality of your walk with God. If you won’t honour God, you won’t know how to honour that person, who is also created in His Image and after His Likeness. Also, 1 Corinthians 10:31 says that everything we do should be done to God’s glory. This means that while dating and courting, you need to set boundaries that honor God, such as abstaining from sex before marriage and being intentional about avoiding situations that could lead to sexual traps.

Secondly, it is key to develop a friendship-based relationship. In Proverbs 17:17, we learn that a friend loves at all times. Friendship is the foundation of any relationship, and it should be based on trust, honesty, and mutual respect. Take time to get to know each other, share your interests, and enjoy each other’s company. I often say it this way, if he is not interested in your world, and she is not interested in yours, you both have no business together! You’ll simply frustrate one another, and such a pain of heart is not worth it.

Thirdly, prioritize open and honest communication. Communication is the beginning and end of All relationships, and by communication, I mean the art of speaking, listening and responding to the other person. In Ephesians 4:15, we learn that speaking the truth in love can help us grow in every way. Where secrecy thrives, the bond of unity is broken 💔 because hiden truths has the potential to mare a life than any other thing. Communicate openly about your feelings, expectations, and goals. Be willing to listen and empathize with each other. Speak the Truth in LOVE. I find that I can’t emphasize this enough. Love is Key to the outcomes of any situation in life, including your relationship. So, it’s time to prioritise this effectively.

Fourthly, Pursue Purity and Guard your heart. Ensuring your heart is yielded to the Lord, is key when making a choice concerning your relationship. In Proverbs 4:23, we learn to guard our hearts. From our heart, comes the life force of life, therefore investing quality time in Gods Presence, helps with the pruning of your heart consistently, till you reach a place of victory. When your heart is pruned, you can easily identify, when something is amiss. Therefore anything that could compromise your moral values and principles is ultimately detrimental to your long term joy. Though in the present, you might feel it doesn’t matter, but when the dust of emotional fireworks settles and the intrinsic nature of you both is fully unveiled, the reality of your innermost priorities will rule the day.

Fifthly, Seek oneness in God. Are you in agreement with this person on matters that mean a lot to you? If you both seem to be locking heads constantly on vital issues, it means it’s time to take a pause. Examine yourself. Ask yourself, what matters the most to you? What can’t you compromise on? What is Gods Will for you? Are you in alignment with Him? And from this place of Clarity, begin to deal with each issue in your relationship, make your decisions and change your choices accordingly.

Lastly, if needed, seek help from a professional relationship coach or counselor. Remember that dating and courtship relationships can get complicated, and sometimes, we need an objective third-party to help us navigate them. In Proverbs 15:22, we learn that wise counsel can provide helpful guidance that can lead to success in life, so feel free to reach out today. To a Christian life coach today!

In conclusion, building a strong and God-centered dating and courtship relationship takes time and effort, but with God’s guidance and direction, you can thrive and enjoy the blessings that come with being in a healthy relationship.
