Living Free from a World of Pressures

Living could be Challenging. From the daily stressors of work and relationships, to the constant bombardment of media and societal pressures, it’s easy to feel weighed down and trapped. But as Christians, we have a freedom unlike any other – Our freedom is in Christ. In John 8:36, Jesus says, “if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” But what does it truly mean to live free in Christ, from the toils, sins, pain and struggles of this world? Let’s dive in, to explore how we can experience this freedom in our daily lives.

  1. Surrender to Jesus- Jesus is The Light of Life. In Him we encounter The True Light which lights every human and turns things around in the world. In His Light we see The Great Light, that is the Great Peace, Joy, Rest and Truth that can heal our hurts and ease our pains. In Matthew 11:28. Jesus says β€œCome unto me All you that have laboured and are heavy laden and I will give you Rest” Life without Christ is usually a life of Pain and Struggles, but in Him, you’ll encounter Life at its Best! The power to not Sin can only be found in Him because she is the Author and finisher of your Faith and the deliver of your life from the bondage of sin and death! Romans 5 &6.
  2. Let go of past sins and shame
The first step to living free in Christ is to let go of our past sins and shame. It’s easy to hold onto guilt and shame from our past mistakes, but the truth is, Jesus has already paid the price for our sins on the cross. As it says in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just and will Forgive us our sins and will purify us from all unrighteousness.” Don’t let your past hold you back from experiencing the freedom and newness of life, that Christ offers. Let go and accept His forgiveness.
  3. Trust in God’s plan for your life-
We often try to take control of our lives and make our own plans, but the reality is, God’s plan for us is far greater than anything we could imagine. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” When we let go of our need for control and trust in God’s plan, we can experience a freedom from the stress and worry of trying to figure everything out on our own.
  4. Find Joy in the midst of pain-
Pain, trails the path of worldly existence. But as Christians, we have the assurance that God is always with us, even in the midst of our trials. In James 1:2-3, it says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” We can find joy in the midst of pain when we make a conscious choice to Rejoice in the Lord, as we stand our ground in Faith. The posture of freedom, is the posture of Praiseful Faith, because it expresses our Trust in the Lord as we release all our cares and pains unto Him.
  5. Surround yourself with a Community of Believers
We were not meant to do life alone. We need fellow believers to walk with us on our journey and provide support and encouragement. In Proverbs 27:17, it says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” When we surround ourselves with a community of believers, we can experience the freedom of true fellowship, spiritual support and Growth, by those who share our faith.
  6. Focus on eternal things, not temporary.
It’s easy to get caught up in the Ephemerals of life-Β  our jobs, our possessions, our relationships. As important as these are in today’s world, we need much more than that to experience true Freedom. But as Christians, our focus should be on eternal things. Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” When we shift our focus to what truly matters – our relationship with God and our eternal home in heaven – we can experience a freedom from the pressures and distractions of this world. Living in the Spirit unlocks the door to a world of limitless glories, because in Him liberty is Truly found; thereby enhancing your earthly relationships and responsibilities. Until we experience true freedom in Christ, we can’t experience the Liberty to truly live.

In conclusion, living free in Christ is not about living wild without boundaries. Rather, It’s about surrendering our past, present, and future to God and trusting in His plan for our lives. Living beyond the limits of this life but also within the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It’s about finding joy in the midst of trials and surrounding ourselves with a community of believers. And most importantly, it’s about keeping our focus on eternal things, rather than the temporary. So let’s embrace the freedom that Christ offers and live boldly in His Love and Grace.

Who is a Christian Life Coach?

Life coaches are your friendly guide through life, but Christian life coaches, journey with you on your destiny path, ensuring you don’t lose grip on your faith, and the balance of life.

Imagine a life coach, but instead of just giving you a pep talk and a workout plan, they hand you a map of the human heart, a compass pointing towards God’s love in many possibilities for you, and a backpack full of scriptures, encouragement, and maybe even a few brownies (because who doesn’t cherish a good brownie while navigating life’s challenges?). That’s the essence of a Christian life coach!

The Heart of the Matter:

A Christian life coach (CLC) isn’t just a cheerleader for Jesus (though, let’s be honest, we all need a good Encourager sometimes!). CLC’s are a guide, a confidant, a fellow traveler on the journey of faith. They’re there to help you understand the map of your own soul, to navigate the sometimes-tricky terrain of life with God’s word as your compass.

Think of the apostle Paul, fervently encouraging and guiding the early church, reminding them of God’s promises and heart for them (Romans 15:4). Many never thought of Paul as a Coach, but in many scenarios, he coached the saints of God into pure realities of the kingdom life, helping them discern the perfect will of God for their life through Coaching Questions and objective analysis. We see this on many occasions such as in Romans 6, Galatians 2;16, 3:2-5 and many more, where he confronted both Jews and gentiles,  with boggling questions about their faith, in order to help them align with God’s Kingdom Plan For their lives. We also see the wise King Solomon, who said, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Beneficiaries of Christian Life Coaching

Take the story of Queen Esther, a young woman who courageously stepped up to save her people, trusting in God’s plan even when it seemed impossible (Esther 4-8). This story couldn’t have been complete without the role of Mordecai ( Queen Esther’s uncle and foster parent). Mordecai sent Queen Esther, what I’ll call a Coaching Letter Esther 4:1-16, helping her see the importance of her role in the saving of the Jews, and asking cogent questions in helping her consider God’s timing in her rise to being a Persian QueenπŸ‘‘. This helped her put things in the right perspective, as she was able To rightly navigate the waters of palace intrigue and political complexities boldly in saving her people from the sinister plan of their sworn enemy, who was a chief official of the state and a close ally of her King.

Interestingly, Modecai didn’t have to tell her what To do, rather He simply stirred her to examine the facts for what they where according to Gods plan. This is who a Chrisitian life Coach is! No. We are not mentors, or counsellors, rather we are friendly spiritual guides, positioned and equipped to stir your thoughts in rightly considering the facts about your life, in order to take the most effective action for the unveiling of God’s plan for your life. We trust the Holy Spirit’s work in you, We trust that God is at Work in you and for you. We trust the Love God has for you and these are the base point from which we progress.

So, through Christ Jesus and His Sacrifice on The Cross, Babylon Free Living is a reality and a divine benefit to us, because He Loves us and has paid the price for our Redemption.
